Sorry for the lack of food posts...

So since I"m pregnant and all, I haven't really been cooking lately. I'm either too exhausted too, or the food just smells a bit nasty! My gag reflexes are pretty gnarly. I"m trying to get over it and cook, for my family's sake! 

This too shall pass....(or so I'm told)

  1. Try making some homemade ginger water if you have any nauseous tendencies. I lived off it my first tri-mester and drank it all day at work. Just peel/chop a few chunks of ginger root. Steep it in boiling water for a few minutes. Then put it in a sealed container in the fridge and you have a strong concentrate of it. Then whenever your feeling sick or know your going to be sick at a certain time, pour a little of it in with some ice water or hot water and voila you have ginger water, and very minimum nausea! Its so much better than ginger ale (yuck) and truly helps the stomach settle. They even put ginger in gripe water for babies. Oh and just buy some Bertolini frozen pasta for the family...they'll survive!
